Property Advert of the Week: The Forum, St Leonards (1998)

Below is a 1998 newspaper advertisement promoting apartments for sale in The Forum at St Leonards. Apartments were on sale from $220 000, compared with the $177 000 they had on offer the previous year (link at the bottom of entry to view a 1997 advertisement).

Back in the late 1990's uninterrupted panoramic views were the standard, but sadly those views south and east are now increasingly blocked due to tall towers built in recent years along the southern side of the Pacific Highway.

Property Advert of the Week: 3 Bedroom Apartments for sale - Maclaren, North Sydney (1995)

Below is a 1995 newspaper advertisement for the Maclaren Apartment complex in Maclaren Street, North Sydney. It focused on three bedroom apartments that were "penthouse style" that were on offer from $540 000 to $685 000.

Property Advert of the Week: Watermark Tower, Pyrmont (2000)

Sticking to the Olympic Year (2000) again this week, heading to inner city Pyrmont. $225 000 bought you an apartment in the Watermark Tower.

Winten however forgot that the complex is right opposite The Star (then Star City) in Jones Bay Road, which would have provided a good marketing opportunity.

This week, we head up to one the most prestige suburbs on the North Shore - Balmoral. In 1998, a prestige penthouse was up for the grabs right on the slopes.
