ReplyDeleteHi again Fabian, the first Demonstration Village (1961) was in Westminster Ave (see you post from 23rd May 2015). These houses in the advertisement were all from the third Demonstration Village (1966 on) which was in Felton Rd / Edinburgh Ave and Empire Court. The Wentworth 81 Felton Rd was only recently demolished. The Casa Blanca 19 Edinburgh Ave won best project home under $10,000 in 1967. The Arcadia 3 Empire Court and Newport 27 Edinburgh Ave are still there and easily recognised. The Jacana 21 Edinburgh Ave has had a top storey addition but is still there. The Marksman, 5 Empire Court, from what I can understand may have been remodelled in 1971 to become the 'Pagoda' demonstration home.
ReplyDelete5 Empire Court had a top storey added in 1981. The "Pizza Hut" roof was preserved - though it seems that was not an original roof!
