Property Advert of the Week: Plunkett Village, Marsfield (1968)

In 2019, I posted a newspaper advertisement for the home display "Plunkett Village" at Marsfield which was located in Plunkett Street, Marsfield, dating from 1969. This week is an advertisement promoting its launch from 1968.

Property Advert of the Week: Kingsberry Homes Exhibition Village, Baulkham Hills (1969)

Below is a 1969 newspaper advertisement by Kingsberry Homes to promote their new exhibition village at Baulkham Hills.

It was located at the intersection of Baulkham Hills Road and Mulheron Avenue, Baulkham Hills. Click here to view the location as it is today.

Property Advert of the Week: Huxley Homes (1984)

Below is a newspaper advertisement from 1984 by Huxley Homes. Five model homes were on display, which could be built on one's own block of land or combined with a house and land package. The display village was located on Epson Road, Chipping Norton.

Property Advert of the Week: New Homeworld (1998)

Below is a 1998 newspaper advertisement for New Homeworld, which was one of the Homeworld display villages. At the time, it was located in Windsor Road, Kellyville.

Below is a 1998 newspaper advertisement for the Henley Homes Super Display Villages, which were located at Glenwood, Hoxton Park and Prestons. They also had one located on the Central Coast.

Property Advert of the Week: "Living 68 " by Hooker Homes, Winston Hills (1968)

Below is a 1968 newspaper advertisement by Hooker Homes to promote their Exhibition Village at Winston Hills. The "Living 68" centre was located at the corner of Lanham's Road and Hillcrest Avenue.

Property Advert of the Week: Homeworld II (1992)

I have previously shared newspaper advertisements for Homeworld II at Prospect from 1991 and 1993 along with a TV advertisement.  This advertisement for Homeward II was published in 1992.

Homeward no longer uses numbers for each new centre, but rather has opened villages in various suburbs across the Sydney metropolitan area, Central Coast and Hunter regions. One has opened recently at Box Hill, but also at Leppington, Marsden Park, Warnervale (Central Coast) and Thornton (Newcastle).

Property Advert of the Week: Neeta Homes Advertisement (1989)

Below is a newspaper advertisement from 1989 promoting the Neeta Homes Display Centre at Bossley Park. In addition they were promoting house and land packages in unspecified locations in Fairfield and Blacktown.

Property Advert of the Week: Lend Lease Homes Newspaper Advertisement (1968)

Below is a two page newspaper advertisement by Lend Lease Homes that appeared in The Daily Mirror on October 25 1968 to promote their Exhibition Village at Carlingford.

The Exhibition Village was located at Westminster Road, Carlingford. 

Property Advert of the Week: Plunkett Village (1969)

Below is an advertisement for Plunkett Village at Marsfield (advertised as "Eastwood"). Plunkett Village is now what is Plunkett Street, Marsfield. I will confess that a friend of mine was raised in that street.

Property Advert of the Week: Neeta Homes advertisement (1970)

Below is a Neeta Homes advertisement that appeared in The Daily Mirror back in 1970. It also promoted their exhibition village on the Epping Highway (Epping Road) at Marsfield. This was located between Sobrano Road and Balacalva Road.

Property Advert of the Week: Leslie Homes Exhibition Village, Baulkham Hills (1971)

Below is a 1971 advertisement from The Daily Telegraph promoting the Leslie Homes Exhibition Village at Baulkham Hills.

I believe that this is the approximate location of the homes on Seven Hills Road (based on the map) which still stand today. 

Property Advert of the Week: Neeta Homes new exhibition homes (1972)

In 1972, you could inspect model homes by Neeta Homes at display centres in: Winston Hills, Bass Hill, Leumeah, Liverpool and Castle Hill.

Property Advert of the Week: The Winston Hills Showcase of Homes (1966)

Our last property advertisement of the week for 2016 is again from 1966 featuring an advertisement promoting a home display village at Winston Hills known as The Winston Hills Showcase of Homes. It was managed by the Project Home Builders Group showcasing 12 homes by 8 builders. It was located off Churchill Drive.

Some time back, I shared a 1995 advertisement for homes on sale at Wattle Grove. This time, I share a 1992 advertisement for its Exhibition Village which had display homes on offer.

Property Advert of the Week: AVJennings Discovery Park, Kellyville (1996)

In 1996, AVJennings were promoting their Discovery Park Home Display Village at Kellyville.

No exact address is listed but by going by maps, it was located at the intersection of what is now Samantha Riley Drive & Windsor Road, Kellyville. This might need verification, so let me know if the details are incorrect.

Property Advert of the Week: Homeworld II Television Advertisement (1993)

I have shared over the course of time some newspaper advertisements for Homeworld II. I was eight years old and can recall very well back in 1993, this television advertisement promised that Homeworld would make "All your Dreams come true". It is through this advertisement how I came to be aware of Homeworld.

Property Advert of the Week: AVJennings Display Village, McGraths Hill (1991)

This week, I'd like to share a great commercial by AV Jennings which was screened on Sydney TV Networks in mid 1991. They promoted the AV Jennings Display Village which was at McGraths Hill near Windsor. Their ambassador was Geoff Harvey, who was then director of music at the Nine Network.

 

Today, they have the one display home and sales office at Eastwood.
