Below is a 1997 newspaper advertisement for the Excelsior complex at 242 Elizabeth Street in Surry Hills. One-bedroom apartments were available from $172 000, and two-bedroom apartments were available from $332 000.

Property Advert of the Week: The Goldsbrough Pyrmont - Apartment Release (1997)

Below is a 1997 newspaper advertisement promoting a new release of units in The Goldsbrough complex in Pyrmont, including studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. Studio apartments were on sale from $190 000, one-bedroom apartments from $255 000 and two-bedroom apartments with terraces from $485 000.

Property Advert of the Week: Plaza Apartments Rockdale (1998)

Below is a 1998 newspaper advertisement promoting apartments in Tower A of the Plaza Apartments Complex at Rockdale. It is part of a three tower development that was built in the late 1990's. Residents are located above Rockdale Plaza Shopping Centre and is one of the very first shopping centre developments to incorporate highrise towers above the retail complex.

Property Advert of the Week: Botanic Cove, Tarban (2000)

Here is an advertisement for the Botanic Cove development at Huntleys Cove (known at the time as Tarban) dating from 2000. The developer reported that construction was at the halfway stage. In 2002, residents decided through a vote to rename the suburb Huntleys Cove.

Our Property Advertisement of the week is for apartments at The Peak in Haymarket in 1997. The tower itself had been completed just the year before. Penthouses were going for $2 million.
