Property Advert of the Week: St Ives Cul-De-Sac's (1966)

Below is a 1966 newspaper advertisement promoting blocks of land in two cul-de-sacs in St Ives - Durack Place (first map) and Jessica Gardens (second map). The lots were on sale from £2200 ($4400).

Property Advert of the Week: St Ives Land Release (1968)

In 1968, Parkes Developments were selling 1/2 acre blocks of land to build your dream home at St Ives.

According to the map, the lots were on sale in Palm Street, Hassell Street, Mawson Street, and what I think when compared with current maps would be Monterey Street, Ashlar Street and Wembury Road. I have included a Google Maps reference. 

$5000 would equate to the equivalent of $ 63 422  in todays money according to the RBA Inflation Calculator.

Property Advert of the Week: Pemberley Grove, St Ives (1998)

This week we head up to St Ives, where split level townhouses were on offer in 1998 at the Pemberley Grove complex in Shinfield Avenue.

Property Advert of the Week: St Ives Quarter Acre Blocks (1967)

In 1967, all you needed was a fifty pound ($100) deposit to own a quarter of an acre of land at St Ives. The blocks of land were priced from just under eighteen hundred pounds ($3600). According to the RBA Inflation Calculator, that would equate to just under $43 000 in today's money.

Property Advert of the Week: Crown Land Auction Sales (1970)

In February 1970, the State Government had housing lots for sale in East St Ives and Forestville, on land that was being offloaded by the state. The lots were to be auctioned with reserves starting from $8 700 at Forestville and $14 000 at St Ives.
